The artist gave us a very interesting interview about his trip to China.

R:What was your first impression of China? Why did you choose to visit China?

L:My first impression of China was extraordinary. Everything is superlative. It is a country that captivates you from the very first step—everything is clean, organized, and full of life. When I arrived in Shanghai, I was amazed by how modern the city is, with its imposing skyscrapers, spectacular lights, and incredible infrastructure. At the same time, people are very polite, calm, and open to foreigners. What impressed me the most was the combination of the fast pace of big cities and the respect for tradition and nature. You feel like you are in a world where the past and the future live together in harmony. I chose China because it is an extraordinary country, full of history, culture, and beauty. I was drawn to the way it manages to perfectly blend tradition with modernity—a country where ancient temples stand alongside futuristic buildings, and old customs are respected even in an ever-changing world. China is an example of development, discipline, and harmony. I was impressed by the people, who are hardworking, respectful, and always eager to learn and progress. It is a country that inspires through diversity: from modern cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chongqing to the peaceful gardens of Suzhou, Hangzhou, and the relaxed atmosphere of Chengdu. I chose China because it offers a complete experience—spiritual, cultural, and human. It is a place where you can learn what balance, respect for tradition, and the power to always move forward mean.

R:Which places impressed you the most? What itinerary would you recommend for someone traveling to China for the first time?

L:China is incredibly diverse, and each city has its own unique charm. In Shanghai, for example, I was impressed by The Bund and the modern Pudong district, with its spectacular views of the Huangpu River. In Suzhou, I discovered a whole new world—traditional gardens, tranquil canals, and old buildings that preserve the spirit of classical China. In Chengdu, I was charmed by the relaxed atmosphere and the panda conservation center, a symbol of care for nature. And in Chongqing, a city nestled between mountains and rivers, I was amazed by the landscapes and the energy of the locals. Each place has its own story, and together they paint a picture of a complex and beautiful country. For those traveling to China for the first time, I recommend the route Shanghai, Suzhou (which is a 30-minute train ride from Shanghai), Chengdu, and Chongqing. These cities offer modernity, tradition, gastronomy, nature, culture, history, and a complete overview of the Chinese spirit.

R:What advice and tips can you give us for visiting China? Where can readers follow you to find out the latest news about China?

L:For a trip to China, you first need a mobile payment app, such as Alipay or WeChat Pay. Create a WeChat account, as some hotels will ask for this so they can contact you if necessary. If you have an E-sim phone, you need to install one of the E-sim offers. I used Nomad ESIM throughout my stay. It worked very well, and I was able to use the apps without a VPN. If you don't have an E-sim phone, the solution is to get a Chinese SIM card and install a VPN on your phone so you can access sites and apps such as Google, Facebook, WhatsApp, or Instagram. Taxis are cheap in China. Download the Didi app (similar to Uber) or access it through the Alipay mini-app.

The Trip.com app, which is very useful for booking domestic flights, hotels, and train tickets. Google Translate (with VPN) or Microsoft Translator for instant text/photo translations. If you don't want to use a VPN, Papago, Deep Translate, or Pleco are excellent, with Pleco being the best app for translating and learning Chinese (it also has audio pronunciation). Meituan is an extremely popular food delivery app, allowing users to order meals, book restaurant reservations, get discounts, and access a wide range of local services. To use the app, you can access the "Meituan" (美团外卖) mini-programs directly from apps such as WeChat or Alipay. Baidu Maps (百度地图) or Amap/Gaode Maps (高德地图): These are the most accurate local map apps, although they are predominantly in Chinese. They are best for road and public transport directions. MetroMan, a simple app for subway maps in major cities (Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing).

Avoid traveling to China during Golden Week (October 1–7) or Chinese New Year (January/February), as the entire country is traveling, resulting in extreme congestion, crowded transportation, high fares, and many closed locations. In China, external batteries (power banks) are essential, especially for tourists, as phones are constantly used for mobile payments, translations, maps, and communication apps, so be careful: only external batteries with 3C (CCC) approval are allowed on domestic flights; those certified in Europe/America/anywhere else will be confiscated. R:How did you find the traditional Chinese food?

L:Chinese food is one of the most varied and interesting in the world. In each region, I discovered different flavors and dishes: in Shanghai, sweeter and more refined dishes; in Chengdu and Chongqing, very spicy food, full of spices and flavor; and in Suzhou, light dishes with vegetables and fish. I was impressed by how the Chinese emphasize freshness and balance in flavors. Mealtime is a time for socializing—people share food, talk, and laugh together. I really enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere in local restaurants. The food is delicious and inexpensive!

R:What impressed you most about Chinese culture and people?

L:What impressed me most was the Chinese people's deep respect for tradition, education, and family. Everywhere I went, whether in large modern cities or quieter places, I saw a society based on order, hard work, and mutual respect. The people are hardworking and disciplined, but also very warm and eager to help. Their culture is rich and fascinating: traditional dances, colorful festivals, calligraphy, and the art of tea show a strong connection between the past and the present. At the same time, China is a country of innovation, young people are creative, connected to technology, but they do not forget the values inherited from their ancestors. The Chinese are wonderful, I have all the respect and appreciation for them!

R:What did you learn from your experience in China, and what would you recommend to others?

L:My experience in China was absolutely fascinating and deeply impressed me. I was amazed by the cultural richness, the living traditions, but also by the dynamism of modern cities, full of energy and innovation. Every place I visited—from historic temples to vibrant markets and spectacular natural landscapes—made me appreciate how diverse and complex this country is. China is not just a tourist destination, but a true experience that opens your mind and soul. I warmly recommend it to anyone who wants to be amazed, inspired, and create unforgettable memories.

R:What message would you like to convey to our readers? What are your plans for the future? What surprises do you have in store for us in terms of music?

L:I would like to convey to readers that they should remain eternally in love, happy, think positively, and make every day a celebration of love and happiness. May they live a beautiful life accompanied by good music. Music is an explosion of the soul. Music is the universal language of humanity.

In the future, I will travel to China again and return with wonderful stories and interesting clips. I am preparing many musical surprises and exceptional collaborations for Romania, and this month I will release a song with an artist from China. Think positively, live beautifully, and listen to good music!
